This morning’s Year 11 Rewards Assembly turned into a memorable Leavers Assembly as we celebrated the end of an important chapter for our students. 🎓✨ The atmosphere was full of laughter, pride, and plenty of emotion as students arrived in their signed shirts — many of them covered in creative messages, drawings, and memories from friends and staff. The designs looked amazing and really captured the spirit of the year group. 👕💙 We also handed out a range of fun awards, recognising everything from unforgettable moments to unique personalities that have made Year 11 so special. To finish the morning, farewell cards were shared as students reflected on their journey and said their goodbyes. Our student-made bird house officially has its tenants 🐦💛 Today we got the sweetest surprise when the new baby birds decided one student was their chosen human for the day — hopping onto his shoulder and even sitting on his head! Safe to say he handled his new role as “bird perch” very well 😂 It’s amazing seeing wildlife make themselves at home in something our students built with their own hands. Our Year 9 maths students swapped the classroom for the school farm today, putting their measuring skills to the test by calculating the dimensions of the animal houses. 📏🐐 There was plenty of problem-solving, teamwork, and real-world maths in action — although staying one step ahead of George the Goat proved to be an extra challenge, as he was far more interested in eating the students’ worksheets than helping with the calculations! 😂 A brilliant afternoon of practical learning, fresh air, and memorable moments on the farm. #MathsInAction #OutdoorLearning #SchoolFarm #Year9 #LearningBeyondTheClassroom #TKAT #oldmcgregorsfarm

Today, we welcomed some amazing Year 12 students from Cleeve Meadow School to our school farm to see the ducklings they kindly donated! 🐥💛 The students loved seeing how much the ducklings had settled in, and there were plenty of smiles all around. Of course, George the Goat made sure he was the centre of attention — happily saying hello by climbing onto everyone’s backs and soaking up the company! 🐐😂 A huge thank you to the students and staff for your generosity and for spending time with us today. Today, students from Years 7–10 took part in a special live 30-minute assembly celebrating the incredible life and work of David Attenborough ahead of his 100th birthday 🎉🌍 The assembly explored his dedication to wildlife, conservation, and educating generations about the natural world.
