Extreme Weather Update - Friday 26 June
Because temperatures are forecast to rise significantly again tomorrow, we have taken the decision to close the school. The school will be closed to all students on Friday 26 June 2026.
Work will be set on Google Classroom for the day with students expected to log on from home and follow their normal Friday timetable to complete their classwork.
We recognise that a short notice closure can pose a burden on some families and for those that cannot accommodate your child at home tomorrow, members of SLT and our Safeguarding team will be on site to supervise them. It is for that reason we ask you to complete the below link as we will be operating with a reduced staff body. We can only accommodate students if we receive prior notification.
Staff will be out delivering lunches in the community again tomorrow for any child in receipt of free school meals. To avoid the hottest parts of the day, we will operate at the same times and locations as today:
- 10:00am: King's Church, Chipperfield Road
- 10:20am: Outside St Paul's Cray Primary School
- Alternative: You or your child can collect their lunch and drink directly from the school community hub located in the Main Reception.
We will continue to monitor temperatures over the weekend but expect to be open as normal from Monday 29 June 2026 in full school uniform.
